Easy Seo TipsBy Charry of Adsenslover.com
People often get obsessed with - and pay good money for - a first page ranking in
Google for search terms relating to their primary business - one or two keywords that describe
what they do. Sure, it's important, but there's some easy optimisation tips which you shouldn't neglect that
will score you a decent results ranking much more quickly.
You should never forget subprime optimisation - sure, it doesn't generate as many natural
searches as your prime keywords, but your competitors (and most likely you, too) are spending
lots of time and money optimising for the prime terms, so why not take the easy path and get a
decent natural search placement for the subprime terms?
As a way out there, but perfect example, I recently managed to score a 1st place natural ranking
for the search term 'franking machines northpole' within 2 days of putting a page up there.
Now I'm the first to admit it was a very easy page to get a ranking for - the search term only
returns maybe 60 results in total, so a page dedicated to that term was pretty much a deadcert
to score well, but it was done purely as an experiment, took me 5 minutes to do, and scored the
desired result over a weekend.
People - the subprimes are there for your taking, make sure that the smaller percentage of people
who search for your subprime terms see you first.
As a good indicator, it's a good idea to look at your webstats and see just what kind of searches
actually find your site, you'll most likely notice it's not always the prime terms that end up
getting you clickthroughs anyway.
Spend 20mins or so putting a couple of pages up (remember, keep them relevant and factual to
what you do - keyword spam pages are easily picked out by Google and will ultimately only punish
you) that concentrate on optimising your subprime keywords...worst case scenario, you'll not
make things any worse.
